It traverses urban Changsha and Hunan Xiangjiang New Area horizontally and terminates at Huanghua Airport T1 & T2 Station, running generally from east to west. ”

Changsha Metro Line 6 is the sixth operational metro route in Changsha, Hunan Province, China, as well as the city’s first metro line co-operated with Guangzhou Metro. Its Phase I section from Xiejiaqiao Station to Huanghua Airport T1 & T2 Station commenced commercial operation on June 28, 2022, with solid blue as its official route colour. Its eastern extension is the first metro line in Hunan Province directly linking airport terminals. Starting from Xiejiaqiao Station, the line runs across Wangcheng, Yuelu, Kaifu, Furong, Yuhua Districts and Changsha County, horizontally connecting downtown Changsha and Hunan Xiangjiang New Area before terminating at Huanghua Airport T1 & T2 Station, trending generally from west to east.
